Executive Roundtable Readouts
Where AI Strategy Gets Real.
The AI Realized Executive Roundtable Series brings enterprise executives together in small, private, facilitated groups to work through the AI decisions they are making now. Each roundtable seats 6 to 8 executives per table, with several tables discussing the same topic in parallel, followed by a readout where the tables compare conclusions. Discussions are off the record. After each session, AI Realized publishes an anonymized readout of the insights, decision criteria, and lessons learned, so executives who were not in the room can put them to work.

Governing Agents at Scale
June 17, 2026 | Co-hosted with the AiGovOps Foundation and K&L Gates
At the June 17, 2026 AI Realized executive roundtable on governing agents at scale, leaders compared the strategies they use to govern AI agents in production. Their central conclusion: you cannot govern the model, so you govern the agent's delegated authority, the point where it takes an action, and that control has to be enforced in code rather than in prompts or policy documents. Executives identified identity as the most under-built layer, since most agents inherit their creator's access token, and set a firm rule that an agent should never have more access than the person who authorized it. They named permission creep as the most common failure, warned that human review is turning into a rubber stamp, and flagged cost spikes as an early signal that an agent has gone off-script. Recommendations include scoping tools to the minimum, building an agent inventory in-house, capturing evidence outside the agent's path, and planning each agent's retirement before it ships.

April 22, 2026
At the April 22, 2026 AI Realized executive roundtable on GEO and search, marketing and communications leaders examined how companies are found now that buyers ask AI systems for answers instead of clicking through search results. Executives reported that traffic and click-through rates are weakening as measures of visibility, and that companies show up in AI answers in one of three flawed ways: absent, inaccurate, or miscategorized. AI visibility comes from reinforcing signals across the web, especially third-party validation, consistent messaging across channels, and structured, machine-readable content. The biggest internal obstacle is fragmented ownership across SEO, content, web, PR, brand, and product marketing. Recommended starting points include auditing how AI systems describe the company, investing in earned media and analyst coverage, and redesigning measurement around AI-mediated visibility.

September 17, 2025
At the September 17, 2025 AI Realized executive roundtable in San Francisco, senior executives leading AI deployments asked what is slowing AI deployment down. Their answer centered on organizational alignment rather than technology: misaligned expectations, the wrong choice of use case, poor fit with existing workflows, and data spread across too many systems. Executives distinguished discovery interfaces, where approximate answers are acceptable, from control interfaces such as checkout or financial decisions, which require much higher reliability. They recommended choosing use cases with clear business impact, starting narrow with measurable outcomes, fitting AI into existing workflows, building in confidence scoring and explainability, and securing both an executive sponsor and user champions. To fund AI, they advised mapping it to existing budget lines and expanding from one clear foothold.

June 25, 2025
At the June 25, 2025 AI Realized executive roundtable in San Francisco, leaders from pharma, insurance, cybersecurity, marketing, SaaS, and enterprise software examined where AI is generating real economic value. Participants aligned on a four-phase maturity model (infrastructure, enterprise enablement, applications, and agents) and placed most organizations between the first two phases. They shared measured results, including a professional services firm that cut onboarding time by 70% and an insurer that halved administrative overhead on claims review. Executives agreed that internal efficiency and external innovation need separate ROI models, that metrics must match an organization's AI maturity, and that traditional ROI measures fall short because returns rarely arrive in the same period as the investment.

April 23, 2025
At the April 23, 2025 AI Realized executive roundtable on deploying AI agents, leaders from healthcare, marketing, HR, technology, and finance compared how agents are reshaping their workflows. Using a five-level autonomy model borrowed from self-driving cars, executives placed today's enterprise deployments at Levels 1 and 2, with a human in the loop for oversight and trust. They said agent initiatives are driven by operational friction rather than hype, and that vendor-supplied agents often prove inflexible, which has pushed some teams to build their own. Legal and compliance reviews and a lack of early cross-functional buy-in were the most frequent causes of stalled deployments. Their advice: start with one painful workflow, govern early, integrate agents into the tools people already use, fix data first, and position agents as augmentation rather than replacement. Participants also described an emerging AI Operations Manager role that oversees agent access, observability, and data integrity.
